A vegetarian diet is a diet that gives restrictions in drinking or eating animal-derived-products. These restrictions could vary from allowing limited consumption to abstaining from them entirely. A good vegetarian diet should consist of diverse mix of fruits, vegetables, grains, proteins and healthy fats. In order to replace the protein that comes from meats, you can add a protein-rich plant such as nuts, seeds, tempeh, tofu, legumes and seitan. If you follow vegetarian diet that allows eggs and dairy, consuming them could boost your protein intake.
Eating whole foods that rich in nutrient such as vegetables, fruits and whole grains is recommended to supply your body with important vitamins and minerals to fill in any nutritional gaps in your diet.
